  2. Indeed we are. Agreed. Not sure I love it, but would love to try one. I do though prefer it to the current oversized Multi.
    Tried one of the MK2 xr1000s: ergonomics were superb. The spoiler was the engine, zero low and mid-range. This one could be a game changer with the shift cam.

  3. I had an original S1000XR. Great bike, but needed to be revved to get the best from it, so I was constantly in licence losing territory. And it wasn’t the most comfortable on long Euro trips. I’d be interested to see how different this latest one is, compared to that bike.

  4. If it’s not a V/L configuration, I find it hard to get excited:bomb::bomb::bomb:

  5. Not my faves the XR’s , I’ve tried a couple of them and it’s a bit like riding a massively undergeared angry chain saw that vibrates like buggery :(

  6. only agreed re: looks. Rode 2 around 4 years ago and was set on buying one for a while - got no (well-documented) "buzzing" through handlebars on either ride.

  7. On a test ride, you won’t get it. But living with one, they’re great bikes, but with flaws. I was talking to the dealer today about the new M, and am quite looking forward to having a go on one.

  8. I actually prefer this out of all this type of bike, although I’d probably end up in the cheap seats on a 900.
