V4 Pikes Peak

  1. I was thinking the same. I’ve changed mine to Ducabike thinking I might go Giles when their version finally arrives.

I’ll stick with what I’ve got.

  2. I emailed Calsport today, they’ve not had any info yet, but will let me know as soon as they do.

  3. I've just bought a Ducati performance rear paddock stand for the SSSA on the PP. Never used one on a SSSA before. The spindle "pin" is a really close fit but when lifted up the bike leans to the right quite a bit. I'm to nervous to leave it on it for any length of time. Is this normal? Or is there some sort of adjustment I need to make? The stand and spindle pin seem rock solid. I appreciate the bike is heavy, but....

  4. Depends on what you mean by quite a bit.

They all do that, mine is a pretty substantial R&G and like yours, a very tight fit on the spindle. My leans, but not much and has sat on the stand for months with no issue.

  5. Calsport are doing 20% off for Black Friday, if you want to back order the set. I have!

  6. I've got the Ducati front and rear stands. When it's on the rear, the bike doesn't lean at all, but when on both, the front wheel points slightly to one side, but the lugs that hold the bike up aren't identical on each side.

  7. Cheers Multi - I'll drop Calsport an email. I've just had a second look at them and it does say both levers are adjustable for length which would be perfect.

  8. How are you getting 20% on these - have you got a discount code? I'm only seeing a 10% discount on the website?

  9. Too late, it was a BF offer!

  10. Oddly this is on the Calsport Facebook page but not on their website. They currently have 10% discount on the pegs and levers and with the additional Black Friday discount its 30% saving in total. Valid until the 30th. 6 weeks before delivery though. Note the small text for Gilles products.

  12. I’d be interested to know if the LSL low bars foul the bodywork.

I like the idea of flatter bars.

  13. I've been thinking about slightly lower bars too, but the clearance of the hand guards is minimal so decided against it. However, by dropping the forks and reducing the pre load in the forks I've probably dropped the front end 15mm for free, with no clearance issues.

  14. I contacted my insurance broker the other day ( bemoto) and asked if there would be any increase on my premium to fit a full ackra ducati system including the ecu bhp increase to my v4s and surprisingly they said there would be no increase due to the high value bike type of policy I already had. They even emailed confirmation of the conversation.
