Im really looking forward to it actually and not as a direct wsb v moto gp comparison (because that would be daft) but just to see where the kind of confidence winning a world title can take a rider, he must be on cloud 9 after 2 years of walking wsb. Probably only a handful of riders on the grid hes ever raced against too.
If it was Pirelli tyres or Michelin on both then maybe, but the Michelin is apparently night and day different. Bayliss was on factory Michelins when he won in 2006
I forgot he won thought he got a podium which changes my answer "I think he can, especially if it doesn’t rain and the track temp is high." I'm hoping he puts on a good show. I liked Dani's wildcard appearances and though he had test experience I felt he might have struggled if he got caught in a fight whereas Alvaro has been scrapping with Toprak all season.
It would be great if he did do a Bayliss. Plus just think, Ducati could launch a new V4 painted in WSB & MotoGP colours -collectors only- for £99,000!

Not really that surprised he’s so far off tbh Plum last today and 3 seconds ? Off. He’s quicker than toprak in wsbk so you’d expect toprak to be even further behind arguably. Guintoli has stated many times that gp bikes are nothing like superbikes at all. I think people expected more of Alvaro as he’s done gp before though

Crash reporting he picked up an injury at the end of season wsb test and he could only turn right, which seems strange as he was confident he would perform “the most overtakes” prior to the weekend. Think someone’s had his arse slapped and head filled with bullshit.
Hugely deflating id imagine. I wonder if he crashed with the extra ballast he'll be carrying next year.
