  1. Just a couple of photos from today and the Sprint race. A good race overall and championship still on the edge . Let’s hope more of the same for tomorrow

  2. Enjoy.
Personally I thought the sprint race was a snooze fest though. Tomorrow should be interesting from championship perspective.

  3. Alex had some today. Hope he can carry it over to next season to liven things up at the top.

  4. Any idea on crowd numbers there @HyperMac i think ive forgotten what a full grandstand looks like lol. Hlad it stayed dry for you.

Largely agree with Expact Jack it was quite boring barring another marquez looking to take a championship contender out at one point lol.

Fair fucks to Alex though hes been super quick all weekend and got it done in the end.

The Beast for the win tmrw perhaps though....

  5. Won’t be a snooze fest when Alex’s brother gets his hands on a decent bike… back to fairing bashing and faux outrage :D yey!!!

  6. I'm not sure that was a genuine race or not, did the Ducati factory handout the scripted version to the four riders before the green light changed they wanted at the chequered flag.?
Anyway congrats to Bas for his first win this year, but i'd more action in my loft space in the shape of a rodent with his size ten's on....

  7. Not sure what numbers were like for Saturday ,but todays race day was heaving. Not seen official figures ,but last time we were here in 2015 and 2016 it was about 100,000 + , and certainly felt close to it today.
Wasn’t much of racing spectacle ,however the atmosphere makes up for it. The place buzzes

  8. Moto 2 was even worse. Literally done after turn 3.
Thank god for moto 3 (again) this weekend. Another sensational race. Ayumu for the title win please.

  9. He might be world champion again next year…

He was always way faster than his brother and he came 2nd didn’t he? And doesn’t MM93 get the same bike next year??

  10. You might be right re next year but I doubt it. What I don’t doubt is he will make it a lot more exciting to watch than the normal processional (with a few exceptions) races we have seen this year. Especially yesterdays “race”. Zzzzz
    Personally I can’t wait.

  11. I think Martin had nothing left in his tyres, Baggy just needed to be in front of him to maintain momentum. Basically it became a tactical race and a bit of a snoozefest after halfway. Maybe not the best track either as moto2 was not exactly electrifying.
With luck, things will go to the wire and the very last Sunday race of the season, with both riders needing a win. Then we will get a real event.

  12. I don’t even watch MotoGP now. It’s so dull. No characters left, no argy bargy. It’s shite. But I’ll watch it if MM is at the sharp end. Love him or loathe him, he’s entertaining. IIRC he won MotoGP in his first year?? And remember there was Rossi, Lorenzo and Pedrosa on the grid at the time. If he’s still got the fire in his belly (and it’s a big if), he’ll wipe the floor with the current crop.

  13. Edit : damn you do remember correctly  :joy:Andy

  14. Its not hard to imagine him jumping straight on the bike and getting better results than he has for years, what is hard to imagine (for me at least) is where he’s going to make time up on those currently winning world titles on the same bike.

    Breaking?
    Acceleration?
    Smooth corners?

Or just bat shit stupid moves that endanger those around him?

If that had been Marquez sat behind Pecco instead of Martin in Malaysia for eg, thers no way he would have watched him ride off into the distance on Sunday hed have tried something stupid (and dangerous).

I don’t find that exciting at all.

  15. I watch it with my finger hovering over the fast forward button. Occasionally there is a good race (like the last lap a few weeks back when JMs tyre went off) but far too infrequently. Miller is probably the only true character in the paddock right now and he doesn’t get much airtime due to recent results.
    Shame.

  16. In my defence, Honda persuaded Dorna to change the rules to allow Marquez to go straight to the factory team. Something they've not allowed Acosta to do. Andy

  17. I think Zarco falls under the category of “true character”.
Bez and Acosta to grow into that role as they mature too.
I don’t know what other people’s definition of a character is though..

  18. For me 93 was always exciting to watch as a rider but never ever a character, the way he rode on the edge and saved it from tucking time and time again was extraordinary. Been a long time since he was at the top of that particular game though
