Few other items, new mudguard and finally a ohlins damper thanks to Cookster!! flatted the mudguard back and re cleared it last night before I finished.
Spoke to the guys at Harris this week as I wanted all the correct fittings etc to mount the damper, Nigel recommended changing to the newer style so I went for it this was Monday and it arrived today just stuck it on to have a look,
Genuine Ducati part from a later 998 mate, got them on both bikes much nicer. Just buy from the dealer
Finally we have a stator! And some spider rear sets. Been looking for a while and my friend has a set on both his v2 and v4 the quality is lovely excited to get it all back together and out in the spring
Finally made some progress tonight, all new bearings in the casing, new sight glass new water pump seals etc, all genuine bolts too because I can’t stand after market ones, reg Rec fitted really happy with tonight’s progress! got the rear sets on not adjusted yet but a start at least!
It runs!! waiting for some dry to get it outside and up to temp but all seems fine, have noticed a broken stand switch. Is there anyone who can supply a plug and play Eliminator ? cheers all
Anyone else cold... Bike Finally all back together, rear sets all set up, Ohlins damper on, New Generator, new reg rec, all new bolts for anything that came off during the process. after the first run the Bike is instantly happier, it always had a bit of an erratic rev counter but since installing new bits along with a new crank sensor it revs cleanly and no strange rev counter movements. Very much looking forward to the first ride out in spring!
Managed to get out Saturday for an hour... bike feels the best its ever felt, super smooth rev counter bang on really pleased!
Nice little delivery from Moto Rapido today, I was struggling with replacement clutch plates for my evr clutch, Luke ordered them a few days ago And they are here ready to fit really happy mot Saturday
