Ben Spies dislocates shoulder, out of Indy | MotoGP News | Aug 2013 | Crash.Net Jeez and I thought I was having a bad year :frown:
I'd say that's about the end of his GP career.....it was only Dorna who forced Ducati's hand for American viewing figures.
Well he can, just not the way he wants. Redding would be a good bet. However the rumour mill is that Ducati want to keep Hayden in 1 way or another.
Bad luck certainly, but there is something about Mr. Spies that doesn't have "ruthless winner" written all over it. I know he won in Superbike, but he has always seemed to be underachieving and lacking mojo in MotoGP. I'd never have offered him a contract in Ducati's shoes. He was never likely to set anything alight. A decent enough guy I am sure but that's not really a criterion for employment.
Its bad luck bigtime. He will prob get the bullet, seriously. Teams cant afford not to have riders out there, doing it. I know he came off, sh1t injury but wont sit well with the team principle regardless.
I dont think his hearts in it anyway. one interview I listened to sounds like he maybe erring toward wsb again he isnt going to get a good ride in motogp now and pramac (what is shit) will be his last ride. other than crt I cant think of a slower bike
