Qatar Moto Gp (spoilers)

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Red899, Nov 17, 2023.

  1. Feels strange having to wait til 11 o'clock in the morning for the racing to start although at least we dont have to wait til 2 in the morning like the F1 boys seem to be doing in Vegas.

Pecco for the sprint win and Jorge for the main one please. Lets take it to Valencia at least.

  2. Seems Rory Skinner has been bombed for next year by American racing and his only option is Spanish CEV championship if he wants to return to moto2 :(

I missed who’s replacing him though is it Manu Gonzalez?

  3. Dixon and S Low looking racey in FP2 :upyeah:

  4. Caught up with that conversation. Blame John Hopkins who is Rory’s manager …. with a huge conflict of interest. Blokes been shafted but clearly funding, or lack of it, is beginning to bite. Apparently Gonzales has major sponsorship behind him. Andy

  5. Does Aleix lashing out at Frankie on track there make him a “character” or a complete twat? :)

  6. It still surprises me that some of the supposedly best riders in the world, can just switch off, on a live track. Aleix has a very short fuse. Andy

  7. A had been warming somewhat to Aleix , it’s good to see someone whom is very passionate about what they do, however I’ve seen him totally berate his tech staff this season and then this incident today with Frankie. So I should have stayed with my proven first impression of him, he’s a total twat.

  8. Can’t help but think if it had been one of the moto 3 riders they would have had the book thrown well and truly at them.

  9. I tell you who i do think is already a character and has the potential to become even more so is Deniz Oncu. I really, really hope he does well in moto 2 next year.

  10. Who’s your money on for the title now then ? :no_mouth:

  11. I'd like to see Martin win,

  12. What a race! Talent everywhere. Karma…lol, everything.
Gresini may end up regretting the double Marquez choice?
Someone sign that guy up (Digi..) for next season, nothing left to prove.

  13. Yes, have now had the opportunity to watch the footage and Espagaro is, IMO, totally at fault and the stewards seem to agree, €10,000 fine and 6 place grid penalty for tomorrow. Commentators were unanimous in their condemnation of his antics. Hands up, that’ll teach me to not to jump to conclusions before seeing the evidence. Andy

  14. I think you were more tha. Entitled to make that assumption in Frankie’s case lol

  15. said this a few weeks ago even if it’s to stop 93 becoming the first world champ on a satellite bike next year :joy:

  16. A 6 grid penalty which puts the twat one bike away from Morbidelli on the grid. Another sensible move from the stewards, ffs .
I agree with previous comment that he should have been totally dropped from this race.
Aside from that Martin was exceptional in the Sprint I thought. Especially after the tough set up woes throughout the FP sessions. He’s bloody exciting to watch on a bike that lad.

  17. The bollocks he put up on insta too lol. Doesn’t seem very contrite about the whole thing.

  18. Felt sorry for ayumo there but hard to deny Masia’s not a worthy champion.

  19. Made me smile, all the condemnation for affecting a rider in the title fight. Don't remember Marquez be roundly criticised for the stunt he pulled on Rossi. Andy
