Here's another moan for you... so you sit down with your coffee, its the warm up lap...and their off. Half an hour of neck and neck racing and then the final lap... 5 riders head for the line, round the final bend, its the culmination of any race, the sprint to the line.... The winners front wheel just touches the line and ............ Cut to the ecstatic pit wall crew for 5 seconds, then cut to the pits themselves where everyone is hugging each other, maybe zoom in on the manager and the girl friend and the cleaners cat ? What ever you do don't show the finish of the race as the riders cross the line............
I take your point about having more manufacturers competing for the podium would be more interesting but I think that having so many Ducatis in the grid makes it harder to become world champion. 8 people have the best bike or something very close to it. 6 of the 8 have won a full race Marquez has won a sprint race Marini had pole and lap record at Qatar When the Yamaha was the best bike Rossi had no one to beat when Edward’s was his team mate. I don’t remember him ever winning a race but he did throw a win away on one occasion. When Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Casey came along it was very different and we saw some great racing amongst three manufacturers. Through that period Honda won a single world championship with Hayden, then Casey joined and should have had more than one championship.
Moto gp is boring ducati cup ugly bikes It needs the other manufacturers to up their game Haven't watched it live for the first season since forever.. Wsbk even though I'm ducati fan boy needed to do something to Alvro, he isn't the best rider clearly
The only team that hasnt won a race yet is Yamaha and theyve only had two bikes on the grid all season, so shot themselves in the foot really. As for other manufacturers needing to up their game thats always been the case. Lets remind ourselves how many different manufacturers there were on the grid 20 years ago and how utterly futile and pointless it was lol ....if thats interesting well i need to re-evaluate.....
I think you lost the plot ? Getting lapped is basically over taking and adds interest to the race like chicanes and long laps. Of course if you would rather have a procession like F1 then thats your choice...oh hang on, that is your choice as thats what you have at the moment. 9 different makes has to be better than 4........ Miller screams into the corner, his ride height alters, his traction control cuts in, his engine remaps and his wings try desperately to keep him planted..........but wait, he is 1ft off line and his tyre pressure is a little too high because he followed another rider a bit to close so he has fallen off........brilliant I used to watch F1 as well in the old days and look what happened to that in Vagas last week ? The racing now takes second place to the glitz. Same thing is happening to M/GP, its becoming irrelevant to the manufacturers aand that cant be a good thing.
