  5. this is my first "Strava" - did around 18 miles, first half unassisted. Below shows the location of CycleRamp City near Woking which i've mentioned in the past, followed by a picture . I could not think of attempting half of these now as they've been built higher and higher over the years. It seems only a few years ago that i could and did as they were half the size.

The last part of the journey along the Basingstoke Canal was something else with all the colours of the leaves etc and they've added tarmac in places plus good quality towpath repairs. If you are anywhere nearby it's worth thinking of doing the whole stretch one summer (approx 66 miles return).

  7. What camera are you using for these photos?

  8. Iphone 11 Max? (or similar term) i think - the last two or 3 were stills captured from videos hence the blurring in places. The first is a "panoramic" but not reproduced correctly on here due to file size restriction.

  9. and we thought we had problems.. (cycling on B and C roads in the UK).

  10. Strava chopped my ride in half for some reason but can't complain as it's free.. So about 32 miles, got wet for about half an hour but sunshine later and glad I carried on. Nice to see a fellow E-biker go by. Only needed to be semi-assisted today as knee and other stuff behaving. I stumbled on a "10 K "run that started at Hampton Court, but luckily managed to take a parallel track and avoid most of them over 2 miles.

  11. I didn't record this, just happened across it on YouTube.
This little film covers two of my favorite villages I usually include on my cycling routes/loops.
You can see the old Mill on the river Coln as well as the village shop/cafe where I stop for refreshments. Uber posh Hatherop school/castle can also just be seen. I'm fortunate to have such a nice area to pedal around.

  14. Leggings on and mid season gloves.
The flytippers have been out again at the bottom of the byway. Scumbags.

  17. I’ve reduced my weekly & monthly targets on Strava as there’s only 186 miles left to go to hit this years target of 5,000 kms (3,107 miles) there has been a significant reduction in riding as travelling for work has cut back commuting by bicycle, my Zwift TV has failed and I’ve needed some motorcycle time as my RoSPA retest is this week. Hopefully a mate is bringing an old unwanted 32” TV this afternoon so i might do a Zwift session tonight.

Fridays ride was a very cold 30 miles, but it beats the rollers in the garage.

  18. well as YMFB/Steve decided to brave it today, something told me I ought to, won't be able to do it when I'm 90 so did the Basingstoke again but a bit further slightly over 30 miles but can't include Strava because I was so drenched I couldn't stop to turn it off and you will know exactly where I live.
:) massive Moorhen population this year, which was good to see, and a lot of them really tame near Woking. I had to take a break halfway.
