Just checked the videos, fastest lap was a 1.42, quick boys were mid 1:30s and lots north of 1:50. Approach to turn 8 speed is c120mph, entry to 8 is c55-60mph and speed at apex of 8A (where that pic is) is between 40-44mph on all my 1:42 to 1:44 lap times, so unless you've been through there quicker ??? No one was flying through there, apart from maybe Bob Collins and Gary Bumford, even those in my fast group running sub 1:40's weren't gapping me through there when being followed. Also 2nd gears needed to drive down to 9 with a short shift to 3rd for 9 and then all the way to 11 with a shift to 4th between 10 and 11 ....
Lap timer wasn't set to trigger at the start / finish as I'd have been tempted to look at it, so I set it to trigger between 10 and 11 just by the pit lane entry as way too much going on there to look at the dash, I then reviewed laptimes back in the garage after session ... 1199S has the laptimer take its start / finish from the high beam trigger for the built in GPS. I never use the start / finish as then 90% of the time I screw up turn one at most circuits lol
