  1. In Atherton?

They did mine too, a couple of years ago, was about the same price, as I recall.

  2. Anyway, just read this thread from the start. Great stuff, takes me back!

  3. Picked the bike up from Glen at Moto V in Colchester yesterday,

Bikes now on 15400 miles so time for the valve/shim check which was all good :upyeah:and service whilst its in, belts, oil, filter etc, Had the TPS/ fuel trimmer setting adjust and a new fuel pump relay, a bit of a tidy up/clean with a new bit of heat shrink.
The relay had been opened before or was damaged but someone had put a bit of tape around it : unamused: but now has been replaced with a new one :upyeah:

  8. Finally fitted the radiator i got from a forum member as the one i had didn't leak but was damaged and stopped the v piece from lining up under the bottom edge of the rad properly, new coolant and replaced most of the hose clips as they were looking a bit rusty.

  10. I did think about it but these are still good and samco cost a few bob.

  11. Was looking at Samco for mine, but like you, I’m struggling to part with £166 just for good looks ‍♂️

  12. Forks rebuilt and lower fork legs swapped over to the gold pair I've had for a few years and headstock bearings checked and greased.
New mudguard and clip holders along with all the shiny re-plated bolts  just got a few more to do.

  13. Looks a completely different bike :upyeah:

Making me think about making a stupid offer on an alleged low mileage 998, that looks as rough as a badgers arse :joy:
