Not unexpected, although not a party to the conversation, I overheard at Brands Hatch on Sunday evening of the final race that TB wouldn’t be with PBM in 2024. Now interested to see what PBM and GI are going to do next season. Andy
Would love to know more about the circumstances that has led to TB jumping ship to, what is in comparison, a much less competitive machine. The HRC badge ain’t as competitive as it once used to be! Maybe theres truth in the rumour PBM don’t like him? Or maybe TB’s convinced PBM won’t make it to the grid next year? Maybe BSB are going to hit Ducati with restrictions and TB thinks they will balance the field somewhat?
Strong statement of intent from Honda with 3 bikes in BSB & at the TT with a strong, race winning rider line up in both. New Fireblade for ‘24 too so will be interesting to see how they measure up against Ducati.
Levelling is as certain as death and taxes, far too many prissy whiners. Biggest problem for the superbike class, is they are already too fast for some of the circuits, so you might see the whole field being dialled back for safety. Andy
Top 5 if he’s lucky, won’t win a race in 2024 and head back to the obscurity he was before Rapido got hold of him. Alas he’s moved his persona for a bit of an arrogant cheeky farmer to an arrogant whining self-entitled fella. Looking forward to watching the younger Irwin brother show him what a really hard team mate passes like Tbh I was a bit of a fan and that changed this year. I’m sure he won’t lose any sleep….
he will be earning the same or less at Honda, they don’t give a crap about BSB as long as it’s ’somewhere’ near the front. The number 1 plate will be a plus for them for marketing but I don’t think there are any big salaries in BSB now except Stuart Higgs
rumour in the paddock is that pbm didn’t want him due to his monster salary demands after winning the championship. apparently his missus is a bit of a nightmare as well.
