Ok I need help now cos I just can’t figure it out. Bought my first Suomy helmet and it came with a chin curtain but there’s no mention of it in the instructions and it’s really not obvious how it goes in. So, anyone figured it out willing to share?
Not sure if you've figured it out by now or not I just got my suomy helmet in today and the Velcro tabs just slide between the outer and inner shell
Thanks Nick. im fairly sure I tried it this way but im gunna try it again. I think my front piece may have been glued too far preventing those plastic tabs on the chin piece for getting in. Its not essential but I just like to insert it as it’s meant to be inserted.
I fully understand that. I had a hard time on the left side, on the right I started by the pull tab first then it slide right in, left side I started in the middle of the helmet then had to work/push it down the opposite of the right side. It was almost as if they had somehow tightened up the gap a little much on the left
Yes it was the Velcro will flip over and go towards the outside of the helmet it's a booger to get started for sure but it'll fit and it looks like the left one in your picture would be the side to start on
I hope this is helpful I was having trouble with the emergency pull tabs there's a tab that sticks up behind the neck roll kinda had to push it towards the inside of the helmet to get the plastic/Velcro in-between it and the outer shell. I tried to do a video but it said the 4 min video was to long
Yes. I think my tabs were a little too long so I trimmed them a little and so managed to fit it. I couldn’t get why the plastic tabs were curved in the opposite direction making it look like you had to fit it upside down. Then I couldn’t push it down between the shell and the inner chin piece. It’s in now so hopefully doesn’t need to come out. Yours looks like it’s the glory race, mines the Bayliss rep one. Such nice designs.
Good deal I'm super happy they helped and yes I have the glory race I highsided my Honda and bashed my old bell up pretty good lol and I saw the Bayliss and it looks extremely sharp as well I love how suomy has these wicked designs
That it did and is truly all that matters had my icon contra 2 jacket, gauntlet gloves and boots walked away a little sore but good
