Fed-up of forking out for expensive crappy new tyres every 1500 miles so I've just bought some new wheels in standard 17" size. Delivery in 4 weeks they say. I have carbon Dymags on my SuperDuke so it will be interesting to see how these compare. BST Carbon Fibre Wheels for Ducati Desmosedici D16RR 2008 Onwards
I bought an 03 Z1000 from that KTM dealer several years back, but yeah Didcot isn't great. What really sets it off the the f-ing buge power station
I wrote much of the protection and control routines for the substations attached to that power station and the JET Torus. So when a breaker fails the world knows because of me. Sounds exciting but trust me, it wasnt.
I do remember it, lived up the road in Oxford for the last 20 years, It looked like an old seaside town without the sea!
Didcot was always dire. It pains me to think that I grew up 3 and a half miles from it. Many of the surrounding villages are very pretty. Not sure what they did to deserve Didcot.
We're waiting to see if we've been awarded a contract for some work not too far from Didcot and if we have I've been told I'm going to be Site Manager so that'll mean 6-7 weeks of stopping down there early next year. The work looks interesting but I'll certainly not be stopping in Didcot. Last time I was in the area I was working at the Railway Heritage Centre and we stopped in Dorchester so I might go for that again.
If you're in that neck of the woods, don't miss a meal (or many) at The Sweet Olive in Aston Tirrold. It is astonishingly brilliant - all of 3 miles from Didcot. It is in fact my favourite restaurant (it's a gastro pub, really, but entirely run by French people).
Waiting for this to come form the US should be here by the end of the week then it will be off to be sprayed
