interesting GG - i did a "10 year gone by/felt like 2 years" thing recently and it does stop you in your tracks doesn't it? - the whole raised heart beat, mind-blowing experience as this truly sinks in, two more of these and w̶e̶'r̶e̶ (sorry) i'm done.
You may have been right before the correction Chris... edit; I've just read the description under your forum name properly
I took my lad to his first concert a few years back at the NEC for Metallica Master of Puppets remastered tour. Having been to the original MoP tour there. Like you say where’d that time go…..
Slight aside, what's the NEC like as a venue? I sometimes look at alternative venues from the usual London fare if the dates don't work or it's a provincial tour; did the Utilita Arena in May for Joe Bonamassa when he didn't have a London date. Quite liked it and the setting is nice, but the curry house on the Black Sabbath bridge was a bit pricey.
I don’t rate it TBH, there are only two decent concerts I’ve been to there. One because I was right at the front and we got in for free was Deacon Blue back in the 90’s and Metallica with my Son as the stage was right in the centre of the venue. Saw Royal Blood at Utilita and that’s a much better venue. I can’t comment on the Curry house as I don’t eat Indian food as it’s not to my taste. I eat a Pho(Vietnamese street food) in Grand Central when I do go into town which isn’t that often
Memory Lane ..... always very nice to read about ! Anyway , in an attempt to get this thread back on topic ...... ( it was " How brilliant is Jeff Baxter ? " .... wasn't it ? .... ) A wizard on electric guitar only ? ..... I'll leave it to any listeners to be the judge of that . This is a little gem of a duet with Pat Simmons
Newton Faulkner with Cat Rea. Cat is my friend Adrian Rea’s daughter. Adrian is my friends Mike and Nick Rea’s cousin. Mike and Nick’s brother is Chris Rea. Did you get all that
