@bradders, Just seen this all good, bike delivered. Had PPF and ceramic polish done by Auto Curators and went out on it on Sunday. A very different ride to the twin but not in a bad way Andy
Das Boot, fairly good. If you don’t like sub titles avoid, unless you speak French, German and American.
Pure Action Man stuff as always, but I remember the first series being a lot less 'wooden'. Maybe I was just cheering it because they'd got a suitably huge bloke to star instead of that little squirt Cruise!
In Reacher’s case, anything other than wooden would be wrong; he’s just as he is in the books. This particular series is based on the first Reacher book I read. My old supervisor had just finished it and said it was good and left it on my desk. I picked it up at lunchtime and started reading, before I realised two hours had passed and I was 10 chapters in. Shame the later ones have dropped off a bit.
The 2nd series is more wooden, I look forward to that. The actor is bloody gynormous, how Tom Cruise was cast for the film is beyond me……
Because it was his film. He bought the rights to the linked book from Lee Child. From what I’ve seen so far I preferred series 1 but they are good viewing and addictive like the books, which again although formulaic are hard to put down.
I was watching Homes Under the Hammer with Toyah Willcox this morning whilst on the spin bike. It's a very confusing world....
I went back to the start and read them all in sequence after that one, and they are good if formulaic, the earlier ones being better. Mrs GG usually gets me the new one for Christmas and if we are on our own it will be finished by Boxing Day (so it lasts longer than the chocolate orange! )
just started watching "mystery at Blind frog Ranch" A documentary with a twist exploring a body of underground water that probably contains gold..
