  4. First time back in the gym/ swim after a 6 day break. Felt great to burn some of the excesses off.

  5. Shelled out on a Rukka Forsair Pro Jacket and Pants in preparation for the global warming we are told is happening. Sports Bike Shop had them reduced. Looked at the Klim Marrakesh and Induction but the fit wasn't for me and I am not keen that they can't be attached to the pants.

  6. Replaced rear N/S brake caliper on the MX5, then took it out for a test drive to check. Monday new rear tyres to be fitted as the current tyres are very close to the wear limit.

  7. Wedding anniversary today, so we’re off out for dinner tonight. She’s driving, so I’ll make sure I drink her drinks. Might even accidentally leave my wallet at home, and go for the hatrick.

  8. Day on the couch after a boozy late one. Think the seafood risotto was a bit dodgy, but not much left in there now :D

Golf tomorrow before getting all dressed up to bring in the New Year.

  10. Opened a letter from Mercia Police that I’ve been reported by another driver whilst I was riding my motorcycle.:scream:

Although they claim I did indeed break the law they’ll let it pass this time or more likely they know I didn’t.

Time of day was wrong on the letter too………:)

  11. that's a bit scary, I think this could start to happen frequently with more and more people using dash cams. there is somewhere near Dorking where residents like nothing better than to spend a day with a flask of tea and a speed gun/camcorder pointed at people going through their village and then passing it onto the police. It's a 30 mph limit but it's not built up and there is a wide expanse of vision either side of the road, but I'm sure they would still prefer it to drop to 20. A popular forum member on here, God rest his soul, decided to stop and walk up to one once while filming with his Phone, to which they objected despite him reminding them that he was only doing exactly the same as them.

  12. If you question the calibration of the dashcam, and qualification of the operator to operate said dashcam, and ask for additional evidence of the misdemeanour in question, no court in the land will prosecute. Unfortunately, most people don’t have the intelligence to question this, and just roll over and admit their wrongdoing, stupidly.

  13. Yesterday I bought another flat pack side table for the lounge and "knocked it up".

Also seemed to spend the rest of the day walking the dog. If I've not done over 20k steps today I'd be amazed.

  14. It was a Nextbase camera, I seem to recall they are/were encouraging people to send footage in to the Police of ‘bad driving’.

Not something I’d be particularly interested in doing but it seems some are.

I remember the incident camera car was from a driving school.

TBH I pity truck drivers as I don’t recall attending a CDC where there wasn’t a truck ringed by camera and driving sensors recording their every move.

  15. Took my new mini driver out for a test run on the practice area and skyed the first shot, putting a mahoosive mark on it, so that's my Christmas present ruined and me needing to decide what new hobby I should take on in 2024.

  19. Yes, it's doing the rounds in my neighbourhood too. Not yet got to the full monty stage but definitely feeling less than special. Andy

  20. Keep your eye on the food and keep it clean. You’d be surprised what you can improvise, belly pork slices (200°C for 10 minutes) and bacon (200°C for 4 minutes) come out really well. French fries not chips in 2 person portion sizes which need agitating frequently :D Andy
