748 Ducati 748 Air Intake Tube Diaphragm

  1. Guy’s.
I’m restoring a 97 748 and the intake tube gasket and intake tube diaphragm are missing from each side.
I can get the gaskets no problem but can’t get the diaphragms anywhere. Part 36 on the exploded diagram. Part number 81210171A.
    Are they required?
Anyone know where I can get two please?

  3. I am certain that you don't need them, but a main dealer confirmation won't hurt.

  4. Were these not part of the noise restriction methods on new bikes along with part 34 and 35? If so I wouldn't bother fitting them .

  7. Your right apparently they are for the Swiss version to restrict the BHP.
I phoned Motorapido like Neil said and spoke to Craig. Very helpful chap.

  8. I'm sure there weren't any Swiss owners who immediately binned these after buying their new 748.

  9. I dunno. I wouldn't surprise me if the Swiss police make you open your airbox so they can check if the plates are still there...
