They are thoroughly deserved, and the performance by the lead playing Mrs. Doubtfire/Daniel Hilliard is as good as any I have seen anywhere. It was one that I wasn’t sure about but went as Mrs GG persuaded me. The only downside to it is that Mrs GG was right, and is consequently in the “smug zone.”
Well, I’m out of bed, showered, dressed and cooking my first meal in 3 days. Hopefully things are looking up Andy
Break in the weather today, so fitted new discs and pads to the 320i. I thought I would get the discs skimmed at a local garage! they quoted £300 + vat. Got new Brembo discs and pads, fitting kit and brake warning light lead for £225 all in from GSF. I wonder what planet these garages are on, I was expecting and would have been prepared to pay £80 for skimming, but £360!???
Yes, scrub that question, on vehicle skimming is a 10 minute job using a Pro-Cut lathe. Cheapest I can currently see advertised is £144 all in. Andy
I'd my chainsaw out today with damage from Storm Hank or Henk?, a couple of pine tree tops removed by mother nature doing her thing. All completed just before the rain arrived.
And they succeeded. Some tweaks to suit the stage, some new lines more relevant to current times but true to the original story. Which just makes Mrs GG being right even worse...
Drove down to a cottage just outside Castleton in the North York Moors. SWMBO and I are here until Tuesday. A little holiday to recover from the Christmas holidays. A bit of gentle walking to recharge the batteries. The directions were sketchy and it was dark when we got here so finding the place was testing.
Today I was well enough to have my treatment after postponing it for two weeks due to upper respiratory virus Still coughing Took Christmas decs down
