Most used method to get from to the airport is the water bus, you can get tickets in the airport arrivals baggage area 15euros one way or 30 return. We got off at the 1st island stop called F.TE Nova. You can travel around the island & up the grand canal on the water bus network from there or walk across . We walked from there to the hotel & most of the main island is probably no more than 45mins walking (if it’s not busy season) . It’s worth taking one of the water bus’s up the grand canal for the views & if you plan on using them loads (they zigzag up the grand canal) get the all day tickets. We walked most of the time but if using google maps check what route it’s taking as it often takes you to the gondola stops instead of a bridge to cross grand canal . If visiting Basillica or Doges palace get there early , about 9:15 for Bassilica (opens 9:30am) or 8:45 for Doges opens 9 to avoid big queues (both pay on the door). Water taxis start @ 150 euro from airport to the main island but we found the water bus was good enough
Nice bracing 3 mile dog walk with our niece this morning. Home to sort the loft, then cooked some steaks, ash spent the afternoon watching films and eating chocolate! Was going to wash the car, but decided I couldn’t be arsed, so booked someone to come and do it in the week.
SWMBO got a puncture on the car on Friday night, getting a puncture can happen to anyone so fair enough, getting lost and driving down a farm track where she got the puncture was entirely her fault though. But to top it all, despite the car informing her she’d got a puncture and to check the tyres she went to her mates party, 5hrs later came out and drove 10 miles home on said flat tyre dropping her mates off along the way, how the fuck she didn’t end up upside down in a ditch or completely shag the alloy for that matter I don’t know? (They aren’t run flat tyres btw) So today I spent my afternoon sat in a tyre centre and I’m £215 worse off.
Went to Tesco for some milk and olives. Came back £98 lighter. And this evening I’ve been to the dentist to have a crown re-fitted:/
Taken a radiator off at my daughter’s place so son-in-law can decorate behind it. I’ve put the cat amongst the pigeons by suggesting the walls would benefit from being re-skimmed.
Not a lot today but i'd put something back in 4 other motorists that were switched on today by flashing my headlights travelling in the opposite direction towards a mobile speed camera.
I was offered a driver awareness course at that speed, so you may have the joy of being lectured to like a naughty school person.
Had the car detailed this afternoon. It was so bloody cold, the drive turned into an ice rink, and I nearly went arse over tit. It was all caught on our cctv, but there’s no way I’m posting that on here for you lot to take the piss!
