Rizoma. Not very happy.

  1. I've had a Rizoma cam cover on my bike for around 2 weeks now.
I washed the bike on the weekend and noticed that 5 of the screws that secure the clear covers were missing!
I checked the others to find they were all loose. There are no locking washers or even threadlock to prevent them falling out. On a part that costs over £300 this is unacceptable.
I have e-mailed them asking for them to send replacements but as of now, some 24hrs later, I have had no response from them.
Not very good customer service or manufacturing is it?

  2. And they say the stuff from China is shit! When I bought my bike it was festooned with Rizoma trinkets which were rapidly taken off and sold on ebay. TBH cant say the quality was any better than the billet Chinese levers and rear sets that I have on now.

I'm not helping much am I

  3. Rizoma are more than likely shut down now until the end of August as is everybody in Italy I'm afraid.

I know that doesn't help with your issue but its the same with dainese & Alpinestars as Ive been asking for a couple of jackets to be ordered in and nobody can get anything to the UK for another 3 weeks.

  4. Who fitted?
Wouldn't the fault lie with the fitter not the part itself?

  5. did you fit the bolts that have fallen out or were they pre installed in the cover?

  6. have had my cover on (sprayed in black) for ages - a good year or so.

the only issue I have had is the cover is a little 'misty' - but not enough to replace yet.

the small diddy-bolts that go around the window do need to be lock-tit - e but careful as they are tiny/prone to over-tighting/spinning...

good bit of bling...and even better if sprayed black - if your bellypan is also black

  7. Pre installed.

  8. Manufacturing fault then simples.

Rizoma will sort it I'm sure, its obviously one thats just slipped through

  9. As I want to ride the bike this weekend I've ordered some stainless replacements from an engineering company.
I'll be interested to see if Rizoma reply at all.

  12. Talking of screws falling out. Whilst on my way to Brackley last Sunday the screws fell out of the visor plate on my helmet. Luckily the visor was down so I didnt lose the screws. I just stopped and used my upgraded trusty Ducati tool kit to fix them in tightly. The other side was loose also. BAd manufacturing or motorbike shop poor service?

Anyway, two different riders stopped and asked if I was ok, which is nice. I always stop for bikers, even in my car.

  13. Well, today I had a set of screws, nylon washers, and 2 new cover plates in the post from Carpi Moto.
Excellent customer service and I'm back to being a satisfied customer.
