  1. anyone here fit or has had a recent fitment of new external doors and or patio/French doors please?

Ideally what's a 3 metre wide by say 2 metre high hard wood or engineered wood frame with quality glass and fixings plus fitted going to cost these days?

  2. Bi folds are the new thing. Patio doors are so millenial ;).

  3. You say that I’ve got them in another part of the house and they very rarely get opened .. to the point it’s a waste!

  4. I had a quote for four wood windows (small) for my G2 listed place last year came in at 8 grand :sob:

  5. 3 to 4 k , supplied and fitted for triple tack sliders should see you around the ballpark.

  6. A quality standard size composite front door, fitted last year, was 2K.

  7. Feck me I must put my prices up, guess it has auto lock at that price, I normally fit quality composites for around a grand for standard colours and £1200 for contemporary colours

  8. I did my homework and the price for that door was pretty much the same everywhere.

  9. If it was a Spitfire door then I get the price.

  10. We’ve ordered 2 sliding doors, the opening is 3200, and they were around £4k IIRC. I wanted bi-folds, they’re the same price as sliding doors pretty much, but the salesman made a very good point and said that if the majority of the time they’re closed, get patio doors (less framework), or if they’ll be open most of the time, get bi-folds.

  11. Think I might head back to the UK and pick up my tools again…
