Chinese Gap Bag Thingy

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Andrew46, Jan 17, 2024.

  1. Bought this off eBay 10 days ago from China, was a little apprehensive about quality and if I would actually see it, but it was fully tracked from China and arrived yesterday. It seems good quality, and fits well where it's meant to. Thought it might come in handy for storing a few tools etc. IMG_8360.jpeg IMG_8361.jpeg

  2. Can you provide a link, as you say could be a good little storage option

  3. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315060675931

I think that will work, but it now says it's sold out. They seem to have become more expensive, I paid £40, still seems quite a lot but it's for a Ducati so we seem to accept it.

  4. £52 on eBay vs £21 on AliExpress. Wow, that's some margin.

  5. Be interesting to see how water resistant the bag actually is. Under the top box mount isn’t the driest (or cleanest) place when the road is wet. Andy

  6. Thanks for the warning

I placed an order, we'll see what turns up in a couple of weeks.

  7. Your find makes me look a bit stupid paying £40, thanks ;)

  8. Sorry about that, but you may have the last laugh if my order doesn't turn up.

  9. You can actually get Ali express to work?

  10. @Andrew46, How did you find fitting the velcro straps, any space problems with the top box adapter plate fitted ? Andy

  11. I’ve never had a problem ordering from them or do you mean the website itself which can be a bit glitchy.

  12. Was it any hassle fitting it with the rack being in place ?

  13. Yes, Registered and tried twice with two differewnt browsers. Never thought it was real, like the £25 quid bike dolly ads you get on Insta!
Never mind all standard stuff..at least the PLA shall have all my details now and may go easy on me when the baloon goes up.

  14. To be honest I only offered it up quickly the other night, I'll do it properly tonight or tomorrow morning and report back.

  15. I’d rather order it off eBay tbh, yes it’s twice the price, but at least you’ve got some protection.

  16. You can use PayPal on Aliexpress and the couple of times I’ve needed a refund I’ve found it much easier and quicker than eBay.

  17. I paid on ALiExpress using a credit card, so hopefully I'll be covered if nothing turns up.
