I did the same today nasty camera woman set up in a clear money making spot where the limit goes 30/50/40/30/40/national all in the space of circa 300 yards
This was yesterday but it's your today.. Lunch time, riding the Mae Hong Son loop, 1864 corners. Noodles with a view, Pang Mapha, Mae Hong Son, Thailand.
The strange thing is they never seem to catch the mobile users or the local lads doing a hundred up the high street on a saturday night when folk are enjoying themselves socializing.
I've got some good news by letter; apparently a man in Hong Kong who shares my surname has died leaving $14,000,000 unclaimed, and a manager in the bank has written to me and said he can apparently update the records making me the beneficiary. All I have to do is split it 50/50 with him once the funds are in my account. The only decision I have to make is whether I use it as a fire lighter or to wipe my backside with...
Had a couple of days walking over the Lakes with some mates, This was yesterday… We got there just as all that snow hit and had to abandon the car in a lay-by just outside of Grasmere and walk the last 7 miles to the hotel in Langdale valley, all good though, it was so different and quiet as no normal person would ever want to come out in it! That was day 1, good meal, beers and some natter with the boys and off to bed, hotel was great , New Dungeon Ghyll hotel, nice and clean and warm,…£55 per night b&b !! Today we had a hard slog from the hotel up to Stickle Tarn, weather was absolutely beautiful but bitterly cold.. Waterfalls behind me.. Frozen Stickle Tarn.. On the way down to Easdale Tarn, my mate Pete stopped for a shot of hot chocolate.. It was so cold on this side of the valley that the pipe from my Camelback froze up and I had no drink for the rest of the afternoon ! Never been over the Lakes and had this much fresh snow to walk in, it turned the couple of days into quite an event , we all really enjoyed it .
Finally given up on the NHS, joined the bourgeoisie and booked a private appointment. Shocking state our nation is in!
Firewood delivery this morning, all stacked now. Then more pointing of the internal walls at in laws house in Brittany. The stone is basically stuck together with mud. It has lasted several centuries so not overly worried . Though the huge sag in the wooden beams is…interesting!
Town readying itself for the Chinese New Year celebrations Tried out Gordon Ramsey’s latest restaurant the Lucky Cat, which sounds more like a dodgy Chinese takeaway than the excellent restaurant it turned out to be.
Depends on whether the cat made it out of the kitchen alive or not... Preparations for Têt (the Vietnamese equivalent of the Chinese new year) will start here soon too. Last day of the lunar year is on 8 February.
Fixed another Central Heating fault staring me in the face. Very pleased with this what with the recent temperatures outside.
When we had that first and snow about 13 years ago, I had to abandon my car 13 miles from home and walk. Luckily I did have walking boots and joggers in the car as well as a good waterproof warm jacket and hat and gloves. Was an amazing walk, about 10 miles and a mate picked me up when I got to the coast so you could drive. Most amazing walk ever edited: 10 miles not 100!!
