No such thing as "proper". The english language has always evolved from day one and will continue to do so long after weve all departed. The manner in which people deal with change on the other hand always appears to regress, which is a shame because its the only constant etc etc,,,.
I like a well spoken person, can't bear lack of basic manners though. Not difficult to say please and thank you is it.
Same here ...... great lads , and once you're mates , they are very solid mates ! On a side note , I heard someone describe a bloke under pressure from Dibble - " He were sweatin' like a Geordie in a spellin' test "
True indeed . In Shakespeare's time , the idea of "correct" spelling did not really exist . With a word like "disappears" you could put as many S or Ps in as you fancied .
Ya Victor Meldrews I'm lucky to get a uhhhhh a schmmm would be a welcome change Why are we bothered by the way people speak Now get out on that bike and go for a ride and chill your pants I went to visit friends in Scotland when I was 18 Kilmarnock and when we went out to a pub/club their mates kept asking me to say words and laughing at my accent (in a nice way) f****** was one of them
Love colloquialisms and local dialect. Find it fascinating. And you haven’t lived until you’ve been called a bawbag by a Scotsman
I'm pretty good with most accents, but the only one I really struggled with was a bloke from Glasgow, his accent was so broad he needed subtitles, he'd be talking away and I'd be nodding and saying "yes Bob, yes Bob" next minute he'd be in orbit shouting "whitde ye mean yes Bob, yer no f#ckin listening!" ;-)
What’s the difference between a kangaroo and a kangaroot? Ones an Australian marsupial and the other’s a geordie stuck in a lift… Brrm tshhh… I’m here all week
