Royalmail (Parcel force), UPS and so on are taking ap iss recently as item is not that heavy but due to size is treated a a half a ton brick if you ask me. Best price I got is about £100. Anyone going to swizerland by car in next week or so?
Royal Mail isn't just size, main factor is value. Start going over £50 and the price rockets. i paid £18 to send a item at £350 value. Are you quoting online or going in? Well worth going to the office with the item. eBay was quoting using their app £10 more than I paid for the same service.

Recently it seems most if not all UK carriers changed to either actual weight or "volumetric weight". As tank is big "volumetric weight" is 19.6kg. Quite frankly if I sent box of the same size stuffed with cotton it would still way 19.6 kg. They are taking a piss big time.
It won't go by Royal Mail.............you can't get it through the slot in the letter box..............
