848 track sprocket sizes

  1. I am after a good starting point for sprocket sizes on my 848 track bike, I was thinking of -1 on the front and +1 on the rear. Interest in hearing what you guys are using on the track. Cheers Carl

  2. 14t front. Standard rear.

  3. Dont know about 848 but on oher bikes what you describe is a good start point. Get a QR carrier then the rear cogs are only about £30 so you can try a few...obviouly different tracks normally need different gearing

  4. Depends on whether top speed is your priority? If not then dropping 1 on the front sprocket is a good start and cheap too.

  5. I'm doing a 520 setup, so will be changing both sprockets anyway, think I will go -1 +1,

  6. Hi ginger how are you finding this setup

  7. Mine had a 14 set up on the front It'll wheelie easier and a little more spurt but the 15 is good enough for me.

  8. 15 front and 41 rear gets my vote every time:upyeah:

  9. +1

  10. I has been fine, really good place to start. I am planning on getting a couple of other size rear sprockets for different tracks.
