I am after a good starting point for sprocket sizes on my 848 track bike, I was thinking of -1 on the front and +1 on the rear. Interest in hearing what you guys are using on the track. Cheers Carl
Dont know about 848 but on oher bikes what you describe is a good start point. Get a QR carrier then the rear cogs are only about £30 so you can try a few...obviouly different tracks normally need different gearing
Depends on whether top speed is your priority? If not then dropping 1 on the front sprocket is a good start and cheap too.
Mine had a 14 set up on the front It'll wheelie easier and a little more spurt but the 15 is good enough for me.
I has been fine, really good place to start. I am planning on getting a couple of other size rear sprockets for different tracks.
