New bikes are always great. I’m getting to a point in life where downsizing (most things) seems the better option. No way am I working til I am 65.
I’ve got numbers flying around in my head, just need the call to say one is available, and I’ll absolutely justify this ridiculous purchase until I’m blue in the face. I’m still an idiot though.
That’s where age is starting to change me. I’d rather have less stress even if it means less rewards. Unfortunately stress over time takes its toll on the body as I am starting to find out.
Well they say age is just a number. Seems it's tied to the price of Ducati's as well, get older spend more money!!! Mine is to arrive this week ( in Texas) At 75 years old ( young), foolishness is just a part of life. Besides, this would be less expensive than going to the Pub everyday and chasing women. Oh wait, This is the bike for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta love my Ducs..............................
Spoke to my dealer yesterday who said he has one available for March delivery, I really wish he hadn’t said ! And someone has posted on Facebook the part numbers you need for the RS rear tail unit..
Too funny. I have a friend who ordered one, and seeing it inspired me to join the Multi crowd (though I got a 1260 S). The funny part is, he's from Manchester.
Don't know if the same unpublicized policy exists where you are but in the States Ducati allows 3 transfers of the racing exhaust from one bike to another. They remove the software and give you a voucher that you can use to have the software installed on the new bike along with the hardware of course. Myself and two friends have done that now. Mine went from a '21 V4 S to a '23 Rally. The other two guys went from a '21 V4 S to '24 Pikes Peak. Marc
European versions used to get downlaod to a memory stick. Not sure if that is still the case as i think mapping is now downloaded directly from Italy when the bike is plugged into the dealer's software. The fact remains though that the RS is a different engine to all other V4 models so presumably requires a very different mapping.
The original Akrapovic race exhaust is not compatible with the later models. If you were one of the first adopters, the exhaust won’t transfer to a later model. It's only been in recent months, Ducati list one part number for the race exhaust for all the V4 Multistradas (unless you live in China). Andy
