  1. The name rang a bell ....

Reputed to be the "ghost vocalist" for Milli Vanilli .... who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket ,
and also sang all of the male voice parts on those Boney M hits .

It wasn't the guy with the extravagant afro and the spinning around dance moves .

That bloke died on tour , in the exact same place as Rasputin !
..... funny old world innit ... as such .

  2. Is that irony or fate I wonder - either way it does have more than a touch of humour to it.

Btw a mate of mine who I mentioned this to, said he saw Boney M in a grubby little night club before they hit the big time and the aforementioned 'guy with the extravagant afro & the spinning around dance moves' spun a little too vigorously and fell of the stage.

  3. That doesn't really come as a big shock .
According to the "rumour-mill" he was quite keen on various types of "refreshment"
( which may have been a factor in his death , from heart failure ) .

    From wiki -
"Coincidentally, he died on the same date and in the same city as Grigori Rasputin, the subject of one of his group's most iconic songs, and who he had dressed as in some live performances"

PS - only one of the female singers was actually recorded on the hits !

  4. ..not only both St Petersburg vicinity, but same date (not year) dying as Rasp also. :astonished:

  5. And was he shot by the British secret service as well...
