Had a new key that I picked up on Saturday, cut for the 996 It is surprising how many locksmiths refuse to cut a key, if they didn't provide the blank
New V5 for my project custom Triumph dropped onto the mat. Woo hoo - historic status straight off so no tax & MOT 'Classic' plate ordered today - here's hoping for a sunny day...
This thread has some Go to #16 to bypass the teasers... https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/help-starter-rollers-may-be-the-solution.97638/
Don’t be jealous, do it again yourself but don’t leave it until the summer it’ll be too hot. Which route did you do, the Almunecar route or the Alhama de Granada route? I’ll have to post an update about that little excursion. It was great, except my tyres are coming to the end of their useful life but that’s a whole new subject.
Mostly over the last few days I’ve been chewing over what tyres to get on the Monster. I’ve not been happy with the present M7’s for a while. They’re shagged but in an unusual way. I’ll put up a post in the tyre section. Anyway it’s definitely time for a new set even though they’re not down to the wear bars.
Finally got to ride the new bike as I was waiting for the first of the month to tax it. Never owned a BMW before or an adventure style bike so it’s been interesting. It’s surprisingly quick and considering it has a 21in front wheel it handles very well too. Ive also been introduced to heated grips and a few other gadgets which is nice.
Managed a measly 65 miles on the Pikes Peak before my bladder decided it needed emptying. Thankfully, I wasn’t far from home, having planned a figure of eight route out and back. Hopefully tomorrow will be as nice weather wise as today so I can get out again. I have done far too few miles so far and need to up my game. Andy
Fitted the tank extender on the panigale then fixed the seat view so it doesn't rattle. After that quick 20 minutes doing belts on the 996. Really nice to work on old ducatis again
I’ve charged my airbag vest and Cardo Packtalk as I think I’ll have my first run out of the year tomorrow
Yes, it was very windy on top of the North Wessex Downs as well. Still a lot of flood water around in my neck of the woods too. The Pikes Peak is in dire need of a wash but I’ll wait until Monday because it will only get dirty again over the weekend. Andy
Lovely and dry over my way today so I rode into Wales to get rained on instead, clocked up 200 miles though.
Not today, but yesterday, received my Knox Urbane jacket/shirt. Well happy, the sizing is perfect, a snug fit. I am amazed at the weight of it compared to sboth my Spidi textile and Spidi denim jackets. I look forward to wearing it. Also received all the protective bits and pieces for the baby Z (axle sliders, engine casing and water pump protection). Now need the Z clean to install everything, the poor bike is filthy as it has been cold and raining every day for the last 10 days
Which colour did you get? I bought the silver one as I was told the black one gets really hot in summer when you stop/get off the bike as it obviously absorbs heat from the sun.
ordered one of these for the lad. i aint got time to bleed let alone be constantly fixing silly wee faults or standing by the phone waiting for the next recovery call. RX 125 (aprilia.com)
