about eight or nine turned up, too cold for many pictures but caught up with all the news and much laughter.
Apparently there is work going on at Rykas and they are not open all this week. Was a little disappointing as I'd snuck out with an empty belly hoping for a bacon bap ! Nice to get some sun rays anyway and there were loads of other bikers also turned up so we just sat and chatted for an hour.. Not a bad way to waste a lunch break ;-)
just continuing on this theme OOI :- https://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/surrey-news/biker-stopped-police-less-half-28518899 ok, blatantly going to the right of a "keep left" will always get you a pull, and quite rightly but makes me wonder if "anti-filtering" /similar to lane-splitting will start to get pushed over here in future. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lane_splitting
Just goes to show that Mr Police Motorcylist is not your friend if you break the law, for me travalling in the opposite direction is always a concern when folk make this move in a layback way but it's your problem and not theirs. Just for the record i've broken all the highway code rules over the years.
I know someone who often crosses solid whites while filtering, i say solid whites - they are often so poorly maintained that they should be called age-related broken solid whites.
What?...every single one?...You've learnt all the highway code rules...so you can make sure that you break every single one? Kudos.. THAT is dedication to the cause.
There was an hilarious sketch from Alexei Sayle's TV show where he is a bike cop " explaining " road markings . Damned if I can find it though .....
I hear you mate ..... a man after my own heart ! But every now and then there are those niggling little ones , that you end up complying with .... ..... completely by accident !
I know traffic officers are not exempt from the law and have, in specific instances, been successfully prosecuted but I wouldn’t want to argue that particular case in a court of law. Andy
not today James, and forgot to take pictures there was such a buzz with everyone talking, really good meet. Kev (not KevB) had me in stitches with tales of his cats and a young fox in his house. About 8 rode to Rykas on the long route.
