  2. Bike looks great, congrats.
I had one as a courtesy bike when mine was being serviced, it was an awesome machine!! Reminded me of when I was a hooligan on my 350LC

  3. Thanks one and all -despite a lurking chest infection I had a decent day and a light meal here which was nice. Recommended if your in the (cheddar) area-do some nice dishes and great pizza.

@bigjimmyb my last/current bike was bought c 1997 so it’s been a long while getting a new one. For what spec I wanted I’d been looking at Ribbles etc c£1500 odd but this came up in one heck of a discount for the spec of the components so it had to be bought. ) it’s back up to full price now so I did ok) To be fair I’d bought the family new bikes 14 months ago and they were keen for me to have shiny new as well but I wanted to look and wait for the right one. I’m happy with it. Just need to wrap it now for protection and add proper pedals etc

@bradders Count your age by friends, not years. ...!:):)

  14. I sold something on ebay yesterday afternoon, shock horror as nothing sells these days in my opinion on that platform.

Let's see if they rock up or not this week with the payment.

  17. Mended my washing machine's 'Error43' by installing new brushes. They were down from 42mm to 10mm over 15 years. Motor otherwise looking good as new (Siemens). £12 for the brushes certainly beats a replacement machine :)

  18. I need to get some miles on my SS for the service I have booked on March 1st so, rode over to Ducati Coventry (to see where it is) then off down to the Cotswolds to Pats Baps (yes, honest) for a jacket Spud and a brew, then the long way home, covered about 140 miles so have just about 550 miles on the bike. Ducati Coventry is about 40 miles away so I should be very close to the 1st service mileage.

  19. Scared the absolute bejaysus life out of myself.

I would consider myself an experienced rider, I currently own a fantastic selection of bikes, and have owned and ridden many many more, Zx12r’s 1199 panigales, 1099s, Zx10r’s, gixxers, Busas etc etc, none of which prepared me for the first ride on my new SFV4 SP!

Admittedly it was cold, the roads were a bit pants, and my ride last week was on the supercharged Bobber and the MSPP, but the sheer speed, grunt, handling and light feel of this bike makes me feel like I am back to being a chicken strip chasing NuB!

Or am I just getting old and being a bit of a tart!?
