I started watching this last night.
Not a patch on BoB or The Pacific, one very annoying scene where the (good ole farm boy) US pilots are having an argument with a group of (snobby) English pilots, Hollywood really can't resist having ago...

 

The new version of The Color Purple. It's a musical, the music was good but I can't say it was for me. Haven't seen the original so can't compare them. Mrs GG enjoyed it & felt the songs moved the story on (whatever that means).

 

Ferrari - Excellent film.
If you're squeamish skip the last part of the racing scene.

 

Anyone watched the new true detective yet. Series 1 was amazing even the second time. second series i liked, third i gave up with. saving this one to binge in a weekend.

 

Very good. Different to the predecessors, not as good as S1 of course.
Bit of 'The Thing' about it.

Entertaining

 

Migration. An animated film by Illumination (Despicable Me, Minions, The Secret Lives of Pets). A bit of harmless fun with the usual humour, life lessons and the good guys winning out featuring a family of Mallards migrating to Jamaica. A enjoyable easy watch.

 

Last ever series of Curb starts tonight on Sky for all the Larry David’s amongst us.
I only found out this week Richard Lewis has Parkinson’s
Leon tap that ass is back too.
Can’t wait.

Pretty impressed with this.

 

Some good stuff coming out of Australia of late.
Will give it a go.
