I've ridden both, but the older version was quite a while ago and only for about 500 miles total. The new one I've been on plenty and I think that while the fuelling is better it's not night and day better. If you rode them immediately back to back you may well feel more of a difference but overall on the road I don't think that one is significantly better than the other. I'm not Rossi on the road and maybe on the track you'd be able to identify more differences but that's my thoughts.
Thanks. That’s just the sort of reply I was after. I can save lots by taking a 20-22 model, and doubt whether the improvements would be noticeable at my ability level.
I don't want to be assuming people's riding ability (or perceived riding ability as the case may be ), but I think for most of us mortals we'd be hard pressed to feel some of these changes between models one model year apart.
