I have my 916 in the living room, if I took another bike in the house, even just to go through it, my eldest son would inherit the 916, and the youngest would have the pick of the rest
I have something very similar fitted to my track Multistrada 1200. Despite the “investment”, definitely a positive difference in performance and pad life. Andy
Wheeled both Monsters,1200 R and 821 out of the garage for the first time since August last year and they both fired up on the first push of the button, well impressed as neither has been on a charger all that time.
Started to clean up my garages, Abba Skylift should arrive this week (I'm hoping to pickup tomorrow!). Got a few mods that will be much easier to do with the lift on the MTS but also to start rebuilding a '01 R6 for track. Needless to say, I'm excited! Next bit of kit to order will be tyre changer and balancer.
putting a value on my time, if i can get 2-2.5k for them both i will be happy. and my conscience will allow me to sleep at night.
I am certainly not anti progress and love innovation but for the love of all that is holy do these bloody AI annoy me. Not once have I have connected with one that has actually solved the problem. Usually I either give up, or you just end up waiting to speak to someone anyway. Perhaps they work by removing the time wasters who don’t really have an issue and can’t be bothered to wait to speak to someone. I can’t see any other way they work. Perhaps someone knows a brilliant one that works perfectly but I won’t hold my breath. The last one I suffered was for by bike insurance as they needed ‘more details’. After twenty minutes of irritation it finally gave up and put me onto a person who sorted it in less than two minutes. Anyway, bike stuff today involved a short run on the new (to me Multistrada) ending up at the Triumph factory in Hinckley for a sarnie. Nice run out slightly spoiled by getting caught in a shower just before the end. But the temperatures are mental for February. I didn’t even bother with the heated grips and regretted the liner in my coat. Loving the power delivery and even in the damp/ wet the feedback from the tyres was spot on. Always been a fan of Metzelers and these Roadtecs seem to suit the bike perfectly.
Total of about 90mins on hold today again, waiting for 12yr-old insurance 'consultants' who seems to know less than what's on their company website BeMoto unfortunately coming in a load more expensive than my current multibike policy, so I'll stick with what I've got. Looks like the custom Triumph is going to have a stand-alone policy... Urgh.
Ahhhhh, I always respond to those asking for a new quote as you have been looking elsewhere. I don't provide quotations for them, nor a ball park. Just that I am looking and will consider it but not to renew until you call. Sneaky insurance companies
Moved everything into place in the garage, including shelving, tools etc, and realised that a double garage isn’t big enough for 2.5 bikes, a car and a load of other crap. The Mrs is not impressed.

wtf? that's £200 less than what it costs to insure 2 of mine and living in the middle of nowhere. i wont be auto renewing this year (bet i do, i've been saying it for years) which aint just a hell of a lot less than my work insurance that covers everything, 5 drivers, all our personal cars + 2 other bikes and all the usual liability stuff. the lazy fug that i am.
They are on a classic collection policy, a couple of them are on an agreed valuation, plus, if they are written off, they pay out, plus, they give me the vehicle back too
Been over to Ducati Coventry to pick some more parts up for the 996, they won't sell me their 998R though
