So what have you done today..?

  1. Checked my bee hives, one was rammed full with bees but the other was very low, gave them some sugar syrup and I’ll keep an eye one them. One of the ungrateful little buggers still stung me!

  2. Went to bike show in London, no Ducati stand, probably half the size of the last time I went a few years ago. Disappointing.

  3. That’s on account of Bees and Wasps being Kunts.

  4. Checked the boat is still on its mooring, it is just and then chop sawed a massive pile of wood up from my mates static caravan that he’s had to dismantle. Grass is looking suspiciously long so that’s the next job.

  5. 20240217_133601.jpg having my first trip away in our new van , stayingat the marina in Maryport. The wife is staying in an air b&b with a mate just up the road so I get to test everything out. Managed a ride over to Cockermouth for coffee this morning before the rain set in.

  7. Went to an Escape room with my other half as a Valentine's present. Set in a Wild West train station. We managed to get through 3 of the 4 rooms then ran out of time. Ideally you need 3-4 people to simultaneously solve all the various clues to move forwards at a reasonable pace. We took around 20 mins to get through each room in the chain, which is way too long. Apparently the record was 37 mins (a group of 4 people). You only have an hour so time is ticking. Great fun but miffed we didnt make it to the end.

  9. Some of the best skiing in the world. I lived there in winter 85/6, arrived a month early, stayed to the end of April and was still finding new terrain to explore. If the conditions are good lower down, take the run down to Brevieres.

  11. Oldest child, 30, staying for a couple of days and she said how about we get out on one of the bikes - I prefer the Ducati (Hyper). Despite it being moist, overcast & 12C we had a great 30 mile blast.
I'm glad one of my kids understands me...:)

  12. My sis was a rep at Val d'Isère around about that time. For a time I rode in a Thomsons ski jacket.

  13. Like Espace Killy skied there for 20 years for a Month each season from 1984 onwards with a break in 89/90 when it didn’t snow in the Alps till much too late. Went to Colorado that year, nice place but not enough terrain to cover. Haven’t snowboarded since 2006 when my Son was carried around in a back pack whilst his Sister skied.

  14. sad to read this confirmation of several spoken similar this year. Despite not going, i can remember saying the same thing even 5 years ago, but we still go back don't we? - not the "end of the world" of course, but reminds me of a line in a Pink Floyd song.

  16. I see steak haché frites in your future...

Sounds like you already know Tignes aswell as anyone. If you're skiing down couloir 3 on the Motte be sure to snap a few pics.

    Have a great trip.

  17. I mean it this time...I think.
If it was held in the spring/summer I wouldn't even think about going , it's a winter trip to do with bikes. Better off spending a couple of hours riding around the local dealers

  18. It was crap. Smaller and smaller every year - and £25 entry! Wouldn't surprise me if they pull the plug on it

  19. Bees slightly less so really though. I got over 60lbs of honey last year, as long as I charge £35 a jar I should get my money back!
