  2. True Detective: Night Country is the fourth season of True Detective, an American anthology crime drama television series created by Nic Pizzolatto, which premiered on January 14, 2024, on HBO. 5. Alive. Again, this time remastered, though I don't remember what the quality was before. I also don't remember the crash being quite so, let's say 'disconcerting'. Like the seats tearing out. I imagine, with accumulting life experience I'm that much more able to imagine graphically what that's gonna do to flesh and bone. It's enough to make you want to get on a powerful motorbike and go very fast!

I boarded a Ryanair 737 once and, shifting about in the seat, noticed it moved, like it wasn't fully bolted down.

  6. Just finished second series of KIN - Brilliant.

  7. Grand touring thingy. Not bad, but miles off the best. There is a segment that is a great ad for Mercedes….if you watch you’ll see what I mean ;)

  8. Will watch that tomorrow night when I’m sober. Or will I need a drink to get through it?

  9. Just finished season two - cracker!

  10. Watched Killers of the flower moon before our Apple subscription expires, got over 2.5hrs in before falling asleep which was pretty good going I thought and proves Scorsese’s films are an hour too long.

Watched the latest episode of Masters of the (hot) Air too which has proved to be one cliche too many and so doubt I’ll renew the subscription to finish the series

  11. Liam Neeson in a another crap movie last night, i should've gone with a programme on Led Leppelin.

  12. I've been watching some of the world's most gifted (and highly paid) liars .....
    ...... in peak form !
This is how the real pros play the game , on the global stage .

So twisted by greed that they have to screw their pants on every morning .
Forget about politicians ..... they are just rank amateurs compared to these people .

Banksters: HSBC, the Untouchable Titan of Global Finance

  13. It could have been so much better. The air battle scenes are good, the acting is very poor, the whole thing comes over as yet more Hollywood propaganda.

  16. Started trying to watch Mr and Mrs Smith last night. Utter shite. The whole pretext of the film it’s based on is that they are really married and don’t know the other is a spy. It’s witty, action packed, good movie.
This is contrived, slow, very unfunny and tripe. Do yourself a favour and give it a swerve.

  17. Drink may help…. ;)

  18. The original's pretty good, with George Montgomery and Carole Lombard, directed by Hitchcock, written by Norman Krasna, who was a friend of Groucho. But it suffers from age. Nothing to do with spies.

  19. Didn’t realise Hitchcock directed something with same name. Is it same plot?

  20. Just looked it up. Nothing like the same plot, just same title.
