I don’t follow. This product blurb suggests it improves the gear shifting on the Streetfighter. Is that an issue? WRT your answer, would recalibration of the tyre size affect gearshifting?
I’ve jumped to the conclusion that you are experiencing something less than smooth shifts using the QS. If I’ve got that wrong, just ignore me If I haven’t, there are a number of parameters that affect the QS and setting a baseline of rpm and speed is one of them. In the past, I have found chain tension also affects the quality of the gear shift. Andy
I have only just bought it, and it’s not yet delivered, but I saw this advertised and wondered whether a) there was an issue and b) if so, was this a solution
The quick shifter on my SF V4S is buttery smooth. The only time I had a problem with the quick shift was when I fitted a cheap throttle spacer. It confused the TPS. Soon I replaced it with a genuine DucatiSpacers one then it worked perfectly again
I have been thinking about buying gear support for Streetfighter V4 SP, i find it can be a bit spongy selecting first from neutral. Was thinking it may be the way Rizoma rear sets are adjusted, has anyone used support on V4. My mate fitted one to his ZX10 Track bike and found it made gear changes, must more positive, a bit different on track to road.
The shifter on my sfv4 was pretty bad at first ,but got better with miles. My v4 panigale shifter is excellent
IME, the “Ducati by Rizoma” rear sets fitted to my Panigale V4S were a triumph of fashion over function, absolute useless crap. Andy
What didn't you like about them Andy? I find they work pretty well once adjusted properly. QS works perfectly, never missed a shift, as does rear brake. If anything they are better than the CNC racing/pramac set I had on my v2.
I have one on my V4 its a track bike. If you look at how far out from the crank case the change spindle comes then I think its a welcome extra support.
I’m not a fan of the Rizoma kit offered in collaboration with Ducati (I wouldn’t buy CNC stuff either). The quality of rear sets fitted to my Panigale V4 Speciale as standard was poor and the fit of the gear and brake levers was sloppy. I found the gear change wooly and it was far too easy to find a false neutral. Compare the Rizoma to the Spider Racing Italy rear sets Moto Rapido sourced for me as a replacement and you are into a different league of engineered design and manufacture, all at a lower cost. In the 3 years I rode with the Spider rear sets, I never had a false neutral or had to take a second stab at finding the gear. Like everything, it's a personal choice but I will not recommend any of the Rizoma kit my Panigale came with as standard. If you want clutch and front brake levers, buy TWM. Andy

I agree. Was not impressed with mine. Gear lever pivot was sloppy. Using a single M5 bolt and friction as the lever height adjustment on the brake side was poor as well. Stand hard on the brake and the lever slipped down. They didn’t crash very well either. On the other hand the CNC Racing rearsets that I had on my 1299 were very good.
If you look at their rear sets for the Panigale V4, you will see they are a lot more complicated than for Streetfighter V4 the road shift rear sets, which could explain the price point. Andy
