A couple of mixed days for Jake. 2nd on day one and just inside the top ten today. The strength of that field in moto 2 now is off the charts.. 2024 Official Jerez Moto2 Test results - Day 2 | Moto2 | Crash Not sure whats still going on with M Lavs team, consistently missing sessions and days at a time and been going on since they started out as a team, two days without a single lap completed for Whatley 2024 Official Jerez Moto3 Test results - Day 2 | Moto3 | Crash
Listening to the off the track podcast last week with Charlie Hiscott. he said the issue M LAV has with the team is that the riders he has are not cutting it , budgets and trying to get new brits in is hard with the age requirements. some good prospects coming up but still 2 years away. so i guess he is making do for now.
He’s not going to sit there and slag his mate off I guess but no getting away from the fact they missed a lot of tricks/sessions over the last couple of years (riders sitting out whole sessions etc) and Ogden has proved he can ride in the top 10 on multiple occasions. (I also get the impression Whatley was thrown in at the deep end and has more to give). Def looks like it’ll be another difficult season , Shane cos ML was saying how excited he was that they were going to be getting extra support at the back end of last year.
I think you could be right as that’s three days now with no laps completed. Sure I saw him riding on one of the social channels last week so that’s a shame with only a week to go. https://www.crash.net/moto3/results/1044836/1/2024-official-jerez-moto3-test-results-day-3
Jake slipping further back although still light years ahead of his team mate. Izan hasn’t taken the jump to moto2 very smoothly has he. https://www.crash.net/moto2/results/1044833/1/2024-official-jerez-moto2-test-results-day-3
