So, suns out time to replace that damaged Generator cover. I notice that the liquid gasket that was on it was grey and quite rubbery. I have used a blue gel type before, which looks a bit thinner. I know the generator housing isn't under too much pressure so should only need an oil seal (same for the water pump really). Will the stuff you get from the car cabin suffice or do I need to pay a dealer for the ducati logo on the tube? Any assistance appreciated
Look for Three Bond stuff, you can get it on eBay. It's the same as Ducatibond/Yamabond/Suzukibond etc etc. They re-package it and bump the price up. They do various type and colours for different applications.
