  4. Apologies only just picked this up for some reason?

    Not quite that adventurous anymore…..

It seems they have removed Mickeys ears from the Motte so the old joke can’t be used any longer.

Great memories so much has changed in the resorts and the lift system has come on leaps and b

  7. Apologies for the very late reply only just stumbled over this post. Thanks.

I have forgotten much more than I’d like but it has been over 20 years since my last visit.

    Mickeys ears have disappeared sadly.
Obviously the mountains are still in the same place. The lift system is much improved lots of 4-6-8 person high speed chairlifts.
Had a couple of goes in the train to the Grande Motte.

Some of the runs have been sterilised by quite a lot.

There were no Moguls on Solaise at all, which I found surprising.

The lift ticket prices were a little bit of a shock but at least you can kinda see where the price increase has been spent.

Les Brevierre was mostly rubbish we didn’t venture there, rain at 1800 metres.

I’m not much for taking photos I’m afraid.

Managed to get wiped out by a skier whilst standing waiting for my Son. I’m like a magnet for fallen skiers which is why I very much dislike stopping at any point on any slope. Which is something I don’t generally do very often.

  8. I knew a guy (probably dead now) had a pre-unit T120 with 11:1s in. That accelerated.

You can hear it on 'Johnny Tuff' by Donovan.

  9. I have a Phillips "LuminAce Screeneo". Came with in built sound which I planned to add to but never did. I have an electric screen with a corded switch which was way cheaper than the remote type.

I will admit that my wide screen film watching happens a good deal less often than I thought it would. In fact I may sell the whole lot and buy some radiators!

  11. Is it me or have they now even f@@ked up the BT email when deleting emails in the trash section with only seven at a time being aloud, that takes a rather longer period than beforehand.

  12. are you saying that you've found something else during day-to-day living in the UK that is fucked up?

  14. Hahahahaha

I had to laugh today when R4 Today programme presenter Nick Robinson (ex president of the Oxford University Conservative Association no bias here no no no) this am criticised the Birmingham council for spending a million or two on a computer system that "still doesn't work". Implying bad LAB council squandering money and upsetting the Tory government Ministers...

HS2 spend to date £72 Billion to £98 Billion and it will never work following cancelation (note £26 Billion cost variation that they simply "don't know yet"...)

Fujitsu paid another £95 million this year after causing the biggest scandal financial ever in England, and the compensation will cost taxpayer £2 Billion

Universal Credit roll out costs estimated originally to be £2.2 billion, by August 2014 this estimate had risen to £12.8 billion over its "lifetime" and was later increased again to £15.8 billion.

Initial payments of £100K paid to 3000 surviving HIV blood scandal =£300,000,000 with much more to come. Then compensation for another 4000 people who died from being given this blood, despite the government admitting they knew it was contaminated for at least 8 years of the transfusions.

  15. And I see Jeremy Pudendum bribing the electorate.

While sister's away I'm feeding the cats. Took a Gretsch to play on the garden bench in the sun. Blind Gracie climbed up and sat on my knee as I was playing. I feel like I've been endorsed. Long ago I had a cat who howled when I played guitar.

I was finger picking and playing 12 bar, so maybe she is Blind Gracie Jefferson after all.

  19. I hope you heard Amol Rajan asking him pertinent questions this morning on R4. My favorite was after Hunt admitted that taxes had risen under the Tories to the highest in decades, Amol asked how he could claim to be the party of cutting taxes. The daft twat replied that he does "want" to cut taxes ... I expect Pol Pot once said he did "want" people to live happily ever after.

WTF do these Tories think we will all accept some idea that they inadvertently raised them instead, because they were distracted by not building any social housing and wrecking the NHS?
