Evening I'm looking for someone (reputable!) to move a bike for me, Bury St Edmunds area. Anyone got any recommendations? Thanks
Call Keith, tell him I sent you, fellow biker and long term Ducatisti https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100076189504143 07971 673899
bit more local this guy is in essex. haven't used him myself but just today was recommended to him by a ducati specialist as he does all his moves. Karl at https://pegasusmt.co.uk/
Thanks, I've contacted Karl (on the recommendation of said Ducati specialist, and where I need the bike transporting to!) but his van's in for repairs ATM...
Thanks for that, I wonder if they can be competitive in moving a bike from Suffolk to Essex - Manchester is rather a long way...
What about hiring a van - DIY approach?
Been there, done that, bad experience (used a plank to get my 916 into a Transit many years ago - don't ask!). Besides, I don't have a ramp or any tie-downs.
Try Shiply couriers, I've used them 3 times now, excellent service each time and take care of the bikes they move.
I have used A2B motorcycle movers several times and no problems at all, turn up when they say and have also bought boxes of spares at the same time for no additional costs
Mate of mine recently started up. Been moving bikes for decades so decided to do it as a job. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100092690584865 Paddock pass motorcycles
Quick update - I ended up using Karl (Pegasus Motorcycle Transport) to get my bike to and from Glen at Moto-V. Excellent service, seems competitive on price. Would definitely recommend.
I missed this thread but asked Geoff Baines for a recommendation and he gave me RJF Motorcycle Logistics: https://www.rjflogistics.co.uk/ I've just used him (Rob) to move three bikes (plus paddock stands and a couple of boxes) and it was both a first-class and a very affordable experience. The job before mine that day was moving Davey Todd's BSB bike to the NEC so I was confident I was in good hands. He covers all of UK. 5.0 from 150 Google reviews. Two thumbs up.
