V4 Wiring Help

  1. Can someone identify the function of these two connectors under the LHS fairing? I believe the larger one is for the optional alarm, but the smaller one is…?
    (Looking for a switched live)
    Both have blanking plugs.

  2. Can't help you with those. But i believe you will find a switched live under the RHS fairing

  3. Yes, RHS has definitely got a switched live for sat nav, small two pin connector with sealed wires in heat shring tube. I'm using that for quadlock charger.

  4. Looked hard today, but can see no sign of such. Know what the connector looks like, white with a blanking “tail”

  5. I only have this picture, which is the mating connector with sealed ends. On the pic the sleeve was already removed. This is what I soldered to, and then plugged it back to the bike. I accessed this from the cockpit side, next to the fork top on right hand side. It should also have a little label on it somewhere sayin either "NAV" or "SATNAV" as this is a prep for their satnav option you can buy from Ducati.

  6. I’ll look again, but didn’t see anything the first time. If you have the cover off again, would you take a picture, please?

  7. Have you got heated grips fitted? If not, there will be two connectors tied up under the dash unit which are for each grip.

  8. ‘Fraid I have them fitted.

  9. Do you mean top fairing or side fairing? Side fairing then it will be for auxiliary lights.

  10. The original pictures? These are under the LHS side fairing panel, by the voltage regulator.
There’s not really a “top fairing” on my Streetfighter V4, only a battery & fuse box cover panel. (I’ve looked under and around that, but no sign of a blanked-off plug)

  11. There is a similar thread from 2020 on here which has conflicting information and I’m not convinced there is a switched sat nav power take off for the Streetfighter. I’m pretty sure post #2 is referring to the location of the power take off on a Multistrada V4. I also see that there is no aftermarket sat nav mount for the Streetfighter, only generic handlebar and quadlock mounts. Andy

  12. Thanks Andy. I’m of the same opinion. I knew the Multi Satnav connector from experience, but can’t find anything like that on the SFV4.
I understand the 4-pin connector is/might be for the optional alarm, so I may be able to pick up a switched live from that, and feed my Fuzeblok box, although whether there’s room to squeeze that under the side panel remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, there’s still the unidentified 2-pin unused connector in the same area…
And I haven’t found a wiring diagram for the V4. There’s not in either the printed owner’s manual or the downloadable one from Ducati.

  13. Sorry I saw V4 and assumed it was Multistrada. Apologies.

  14. No worries. Why Ducati presumed no one would want that…

  15. Same actually, didn't realise you on about a different bike, sorry.
