A friend said yesterday that their mother who's in her early nineties and just released from hospital on saturday after a very short stay has to pay £26.00 per month for a personal panic button...... In my mind this should be free of charge considering the billions we wastE every year on feeding others around the world / home.!
Apart from having some breakfast and doing the ironing I’ve watched my patio contractors start digging out for the two patios I’m having built

My first job about 25 years ago or so was fixing hoovers and electrical domestic equipment (every now and again i end up fixing something (the programmer last week on our washing machine needed a bit of treatment) - got given a Henry from my wife's workplace (she works at Aldi) - anyway...one of the cleaners tried to hoover up a tin of golden syrup which went straight into the motor housing....so stripped it down, cleaned it all out (by putting most of it in the dishwasher) and ordered a new motor....re-assembly tomorrow - nice freebie...
Few nights away R’n’R in a Spa Hotel near Guildford, went to Brooklands Museum today where I surprisingly found the aviation side of the history more interesting than the motor racing. Didn’t get time to visit Mercedes World as had a spa treatment booked but I was tempted to charge my BMW in their car park just for the hell of it
Struggling with shoelaces at the moment so bought a couple of pairs of golf shoes with boa fastenings.
Took the day off to run my lad and his partner to Manchester. 3rd time in two weeks that far north. I've started speaking through my nose now.... Took dog to Painswick beacon for first time, he loved it and not as muddy as local fields
Exchanged on our house move. Moving day is Friday . We've been here 25 years, it's going to seem very strange...
