Pets Corner

  1. I share your pain, except that Iggy does actually have a habit of defiling one particular place, namely PetsAtHome, often more than once on the same visit. And, for some reason, they’re always unnaturally immense, like something a Diplodocus would produce. At last count, he’s done it in 14 different stores, from as far south as Exeter in Devon, to as far north as Wick in Scotland. I’m beginning to wonder if he’s staging some sort of dirty protest in support of canine consumer rights, on the grounds that their dried duck fillets are double the price of those in Aldi. :yum

  3. How bizarre!
The only place my dog would embarrass herself was also PetsAtHome.

  4. I imagine it’s because so many dogs have accidents in there, that in smell language the floor basically says “You have permission to shit here”.

It happens almost every visit, often more than once.

  5. The ambiance must say 'outside' to doggy brain.

  7. My oldest is coming uo for his repeat prescription that they only give you for 6 months even though its a lifetime issue at the end of next month and i have to hand over another 125 of my hard earned pounds simply to get that piece of paper. £250 a year to tell me he's still got the same issue and hand over a sheet of A4. Then go and buy the poor sods drugs online. Boils my piss.

  13. My trip to Assen is off. My dogs weren’t as up to date with their jabs as I thought they were and I cant get them covered in 3 weeks ffs.
WTF is DHP and Lexo?? I thought they just needed kennel cough, worms and fleas.

  14. Sounds like code for 'gives us more of your lovely money'

  15. DHP = Distemper, Hepatitis & Parvovirus
Lepto = Leptospirosis (L4 for mainland Europe)

Both are standard vaccinations in UK (albeit Lepto L2 for UK). You might even find your insurers expect you to keep both of these up to date, or cover voided. BTW... you'll also need an up-to-date Rabies jab and a pet passport for travel to Europe. Taking your pet dog, cat or ferret abroad: Overview - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

  16. Any nice plans for the pooches on here for the b/h weekend??

I am feeling guilty about liitle moo getting the snippy next week, so taking moo to 5 different dog parks every day of the weekend, 2 a day except Saturday (thats bike day so just 1 that PM) - just so happens by chance two of them have a pub in the same village where we can stop for lunch too in between.

Hopefully help her shed a few pounds too, the raw diet appear to be going well but after weighing today shes podging a bit on it so gonna have to increase her walk lengths which is less of an issue now spring might have actually arrived

  17. Day trip back to Hants today to see family. Never miss an opportunity to have a walk on the beach, and the lads first experience of doggy ice cream
