For cheapskates who won't pay to watch the telly... THE ITV TIMINGS FOR THE PORTUGUESE MOTOGP ARE: Saturday March 23 ITV3 at 2.30pm - Portuguese MotoGP sprint race Sunday March 24 ITV4 at 10am - Moto3 race, Moto2 race, and MotoGP race You're welcome ;-)
Thats interesting thanks, i didnt know or see that itv had bought rights to show it. Is it simply tnt coverage on itv or do they have their own comms team?
They were showing highlights last year iirc, there were certain weekends that were broadcast live but not the whole season sadly. Still better than watching the butchered highlights on YouTube.
Im amazed theres no case in front of the competitions tribunal when it comes to how two wheeled bike fans are getting shafted up the arse trying to watch a simple motorbike race these days. Obviously itv arent ppv but the rest of it can go f*ck itself quite frankly.
I paid to watch the last 2 races in 2022, iirc it was £20 for the last 2 races plus the previous races and other add ins. It auto renewed last year and I asked for a refund was close to £300 which didn’t represent value for money.
£10 a race lol, its only about 30 euros to pay on the gate at Valencia. edit: just checked its 70 on sunday but a tenner to watch on telly is still nuts imo
Agreed, however both my ans Son and me wanted to watch those last 2 races in full as it was so close for the championship. I wouldn’t and didn’t pay for a whole season, I’ll stick with the highlights on Monday with ITVX. I used to get into Donington for free during the mid nineties as I knew a women that took the money for tickets on the gate. Now that was a bargain .
It's free to air in Austria, I tried a VPN into Austria and connected with the free TV service, and got to the Moto GP live, but the data rate was so slow it made it unwatchable, if anyone wants to try it: https://mashable.com/uk/deals/motogp-live-stream-for-free
I use motogp.com, my wife is in to the racing too. So, being able to livestream over 2-3 days, watch practice, quali, moto 3, 2, and the gp..plus spoiler free makes it worthwhile for us. Otherwise I dont really watch tv anyway. I dont have a problem with the cost. Commentators, camera men etc need to be payed. Damn, even Simon Crafar who started out very ‘wooden’ comes out with fantastic information these days if you are interested in the technical side too.
