End of the 25th financial year for my company. Not sure where that went tbh. Celebrating with a few drinks and an Italian takeaway.
Went to see a surgeon about getting my gallbladder removed, turns out I have a 12mm gallstone which isn’t going to fit down an 8mm pipe. Booked in for surgery in three weeks time
Should be fine, surgeon said I should be all ok after 3-4 days as it’s keyhole surgery (unless they find an issue). I wanted to get it done quickly as we are off on a trip to Utah in May and then the EMM bike trip in June. We had already had to cancel a long planned trip to Costa Rica so just relieved to have answers and solutions.
Agree Gall bladder infection is horrible I wouldn't wish it on anyone I had a big stone blocking mine
Been trying to figure out why I have 4 cables on a 2 light 2 switch system. Finally realised another switch had been linked onto the incomer.. Bit different to a 12 kv 3 phase system
Registered the new door locks, ordered the new patio door & window handles and sorting out some old paperwork and shredding it.
2k swim, followed by a 2 hour gym session. Boozy lunch with my brother, home for a nap, will get stuck into the choc tonight.
Sorted the last bits out in the garage. Just waiting on a mate to pop round and change the strip lights over to LED battens. Dad dropped the 765 back to me and informed me the traction light flashes when the front wheel pops off the ground going over the bypass roundabout, he's 77 in June. Hope to collect the SS &SL from his tomorrow if it's dry.
Spent a small fortune on some plants, then spent half a day planting them in before the wind and rain came. And for the same reason the parasol stayed in the garage. Now waiting on a very strange and interesting “wind sculpture” to arrive, and I want something inspired and interesting for the wall too. Everything I’ve seen so far is just too twee….. We’d better get some sunshine soon!
Online at the minute on Confused trying for a better van insurance quote, did you know that some don't include windscreen cover. As we get older i think we're treated as cash cows because we have the experience but that doesn't seemed to matter.
My car renewal is due in May, I think, so that’ll be interesting seeing as I just renewed my bike insurance for less than I paid last year (though Ducati insurance want 50% more)
