  1. Just watched race three on catch up, Bulega looks like hes got to grips with the tyre wear issue and the champ looks like hes back in business fitness wise.
Hats off to Petrucci and Remy.
The six times world champion jonathan rea and the lowes twins battle was also extremely entertaining.
    Game on for the title.

  3. @Red899, Apologies, the weekend was way too full on to think about posting. Saturday was very nearly a disaster. RENFE decided to close a 3 mile section of track for trackside building repairs and the temporary bus service took 40 minutes to transfer passengers to the next station. A journey that should have taken 23 minutes took 2 hours. We walked up from Montmeló and the track management decided last minute to only open 1 entrance gate, the 1 furthest away from Montmeló. Absolutely no consideration for people coming in by train. We ended up walking 12 miles that day. If you snuck in by a circuit vehicle only gate (like we did pleading old age to the girl on the gate) ending up infield, there was only 1 (hidden) tunnel to get into the outfield stands. The track was a shambles from major building work, place looked like a bomb site. Catering was awful, £20 for 2 burgers that got binned just from the smell :poop: We eventually found seats on the finish line opposite the 1 big TV screen. Sunday, the RENFE works were suspended or completed so the train was okay and we shared a €15 taxi with a Swiss couple up to the track. All that said, the racing was awesome live and despite an abysmal attendance (32,000 over the 3 days) the atmosphere was fantastic. I’ll edit the photos I did take and post some later. Would I do WSBK at Montmeló again ? Not an fffing chance, WSBK supporters were definitely 2nd class citizens compared to MotoGP. Evenings in Barcelona were great as ever but we were well knackered when we arrived back in the UK on Monday afternoon. Andy

  4. Ah that’s a shame sounds like a complete pita and surprised at the food review, lucky the racing was so good.

Presumably with that kind of attendance the stands open to the public were limited. Start/finish only?

  5. A few stands near gate 1 at the north of the circuit and clockwise to the revised final third of the circuit. Start/finish straight was limited to the covered stands on the outfield. VIP area was infield at the end of the pit lane as all the old infield VIP viewing areas overlooking the pit lane were demolished and under reconstruction. Out field VIP viewing was shut. What you didn’t see from the TV coverage was just how much of a building site the circuit is. I’m guessing this is due to the loss of F1 and an attempt to retain MotoGP. Really disappointed for the WSBK fans who were IMO, shafted. Andy
