So what have you done today..?

  1. Yes, wet for Britain

  2. As the forecast for the weekend was mostly rain we booked to go and see Dune 2 on probably the sunniest, driest day of the whole weekend

Film was good though, thought it slowed a bit in the middle and as usual sat next to someone who brought their dinner with them, first 20mins listening to him eating Nachos, then 2 thirds for the film eating a huge tub of popcorn which he felt the need to shake up before taking each hand full :triumph:

They should segregate rows into those with kids and/or food down the front and people who want to actually watch the film they’ve paid for from mid way up to back, or just have “quiet food” screenings.

And they say cinema is dying, I’m not bloody surprised

  3. I feel your pain.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dune 2 such an epic film.

I must confess I’m a popcorn muncher but I’m finished eating them by the time the film starts.

  4. Busy bank holiday. Longest walk for the pooch this morning, about 4 1/2 miles up and down hills, through very muddy fields and, when I tried to encourage him into the stream by stepping in, the 3in of water became a foot of mud, consuming my leg and welly up to my knee sucking my welly off my foot…then when I tried to push off with the other that took it too…. So after emptying the water from my boots and my missus stopped laughing the last 3 miles were with drenched feet!

As I was covered in mud and wet anyway, thought I’d clean the monster and the new car. Managed to then sneak 18 in before the worst of the rain.

Now shagged (if only), about to have dinner after 28k steps and nearly 12 miles walking. Bring on spring and summer!

  5. I like going to the cinema. I get to eat the noisiest food I can for at least two hours, and the wife can’t even shout at me.

  15. Sat in the kitchen reading MCN and drinking beer while it pissed it down outside, oh the joys of living in Scotland.

  16. Drinking beer in the middle of the day isn’t necessarily an exclusively Scottish trait!

  17. Decided to get my heap of a 98 Triumph Trophy road legal so took it for an MOT. It countered with
popping a fuse on the way there and loosing the idiot lights, horn and tail light. Took it home again and fixed it
and returned to pass the test. By the time I got home a second time the throttle cable had fallen off the carbs.
So I had to fix it again before taking it out in the pissing rain to see if anything else wanted to break.
I must say I have forgotten the joys of a touring fairing and a bike you don't care about
in crap weather, I can see it getting plenty of use in the next few weeks.
