Hi, I have a V4 Diavel, I love the bike other than the throttle, I ride with a relaxed grip on the bars, this is impossible due to the rension in the twist grip return spring, this causes the throttle to gradually close causing me to reset my grip on the throttle frequently. Does anyone else feel it is oversprung? Has anyone found a solution, lower rated return spring possibly? Also the throttle has way too much free play, is this a Ducati thing or is my throttle unit faulty? I didn't expect this from a so called premium marque. Kind regards John.
They all have a lot of play. That’s why after market throttle spacer kits are available. These remove all of the play. Never had issues with the strength of the return spring. What gloves are you using?
I've tried several of my many gloves, I've never had an issue with any previous bikes, I think the play in the throttle is a scandal, throttle spacers it is then, I begrudge having to make such an adjustment to such an expensive 2024 motorcycle. Thank you for your response. Kind regards John.
